146 Catholics confirmed into Catholic Faith

A total of 146 Catholics have been confirmed into the Catholic faith by the Bishop of Ho Diocese, Most Reverend Emmanuel Kofi Fianu.

The joyous and colourful Mass for the confirmation at the St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in Hohoe at the weekend was attended by parishners and Catholic faithfuls from the outstations of the Parish, and other Christian faithful.

The faithful prayed and sang to thank God for seeing the catechumens through their Ten Months of studies.

They were taken through the Bible, prayers and teachings of the Church.

In his sermon the Bishop, Most Rev Emmanuel Kofi Fianu admonished them to carry on with the mission of Jesus Christ which is to spread the Good News to all.

He called on them to participate in all church activities as the confirmation gives them a place in the church to function.

Bishop Fianu further asked them to be true Christians and for that matter Catholics, and to work for Christ.

The confirmation, the Bishop said was to empower them to be true Catholics, and to live lives that are worthy of what they had learnt.

The Parish Priest, Reverend Father Isaac Benuyenah congratulated the confirmants, and thanked his Assistant, Reverend Father Samuel Iddah, the Catechists and all those who taught them.

The confirmants were from St. Augustine’s and Corpus Christi Catholic Churches in Hohoe, St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Santrokofi, University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) Hohoe campus and Hohoe EP Senior High School (HEPSS).
