Adzafeme Clan of Agotime instals new chief

Agotime-Kpetoe (VR), Aug 16, GNA – The Adzafeme Clan of Agotime on Thursday out-doored a 52-year old Farmer and a Businessman as Nene Narte Wletu VI (Adzafemefia).

Nene Narte Wletu VI, known in private life as Mr Nicholas Adzimahe succeeds the late Nene Narte V, who passed on in 2015.

At a colourful outdooring ceremony at Kpetoe, Nene Wletu said his vision was to stop the migration of young people from the traditional area to urban centres through a youth in agriculture project.

He said he was also seeking support to empower women in the area and help young people interested in kente weaving access small loans to expand their businesses.

Nene Wletu promised to intensify peace in the traditional area for rapid socio-economic development and fight issues of child labour, child trafficking and teenage pregnancy.

He pledged to make education a priority and ensured that all children of school going age were in school and remained in school.
