The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has described the 100 days in office of President Akufo-Addo as a period of broken promises and insecurity.
According to the Minority Leader, Mr Haruna Iddrisu, the Akufo-Addo government was on a path to “failure and would soon flip flop on many of its promises.
He said promises made by government and payment to contractors were yet to be fulfilled.
“The government led by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is on a path to failure and would soon flip flop on many of his campaign promises, contractors were told that they would be paid within 100 days and now it is a different thing today, practically impossible,” Mr Iddrisu told Joy News in an interview.
“You have a country with growing insecurity which is a betrayal of the country’s democracy, and Nana Addo Dankwa’s uncompromising partisan attitude and failure to bring to order, the disturbances and violent acts of vigilante groups like the Invincible Forces and Delta Forces, is a threat to constitutional rule if not properly managed,” he said.
He also scored the President low on directives to some public servants to proceed on leave and in some cases outright dismissal.
Meanwhile, the Vice President, Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has said the NPP did not make any promises for the first 100 days but it has been able to make 103 achievements.
