Biakoye District Education Welfare Officer calls on teachers to be committed to their profession

The Biakoye District education Welfare Officer, Stephen Akpalu  has urged teachers to be committed, dedicated and hardworking to improve the standard of education in the district.

He also called on them to be punctual, work in unity and learn from one another to broaden their scope.

Interacting with teachers during a working visit to the Bowiri East Circuit of the district, he advised them to always dress decently and adhere strictly to the code of ethics of the teaching profession.

He also advised them to sign the attendance book and ensure the students’ register is always marked.

He called on teachers to upgrade their knowledge base by reading books and undertaking education related courses to be abreast with the times.

He said the Basic Education Certification Examination results recorded by the district placed it second in 2016 and 2017 and first in 2018 in the Volta Region and applauded the teachers for their efforts which resulted in the feat.
