Hiplife sensation Patapaa says he should no longer be referred by that name.
According to him, he should be referred to as Patapeezy or he will start taking legal actions against offenders.
In a video made in Austria as part of his tour of Europe, the One Corner hitmaker said he left his showbiz name in South Africa and has adopted Patapeezy, a name given to him by Funny Face.
“No one should call me Patapaa again,” he said in the video. “I am not Patapaa again. Call me Patapeezy or I will take you to court,” he added in Twi.
He said he saw the christening by Funny Face in a dream and that dream came true after the 2017 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs), where he missed out on the Most Popular Song of the Year to Fancy Gadam.
He was also the talk of town for his red carpet appearance in his slightly oversized suit.
Patapeezy expressed gratitude to footballer Emmanuel Adebayor for funding his tour and helping him create his latest music video.
