Distraught angry aggrieved residents of Ejisu-Gyamasi in the Ejisu municipality of the Ashanti Region have invoked voodoo curses on the killers of a senior high school student in the community.

Her sandals were found about 5 metres away from the crime scene with parts of her hair shaved off.

The Juabeng SHS 2 student got missing for a week during her school’s short vacation.

On Wednesday, 26 June 2019, however, some angry youth in the community stormed the house of a Beninese spiritualist in the community, set his house and shrine alight and vandalised his dwelling.

They have accused him of being behind the girls’ killing as well as other recent murders in the area.

Some of the youth later stormed the Ejisu police station to demand the release of their arrested colleague.

The Divisional Police Commander met with the residents in the community and urged them to desist from taking the law into their own hands since the police have commenced investigations into the matter.

After their meeting with the police, the angry residents used poured libation with a bottle of Schnapps and invoked voodoo curses on those behind the killings. They asked the gods to kill those people.
