Forestry C’ssion slashes afforestation staff allowance

The Forestry Commission has slashed the allowances of the staff of the Youth in Afforestation programme.
The allowance for supervisors, that is graduates, has been slashed from the monthly GHS1,200 to GHS700.
HND holders who were initially earning GHS800 as deputy supervisors, will now take home GHS700.
The salary for other engaged workers with WASSCE certificate remained unchanged at GHS400.
The revision of the wages takes effects from 1 October 2018.
