Gov’t’ll boost agric – Akufo-Addo

President Nana Akufo-Addo has assured the people of Ghana that his government will not relent in its efforts to improve the agriculture sector.

Mr Akufo-Addo believes “agriculture remains the fuel that powers all our activity in Africa”.

After participating in the African Green Revolution Forum (AGRF) 2018 held in Kigali, Rwanda, on 8 September 2018, Mr Akufo-Addo posted on his Facebook Wall that African leaders “pledged to our food crop farmers, fish farmers and livestock farmers that they will all have the support they deserve from our governments”.

The forum was held on the theme: “Lead. Measure. Grow. Pathways to Turn Smallholder Farmers into Sustainable Agribusiness.”

The AGRF seeks to engage stakeholders in the agriculture industry across the globe to deliberate effectively on ways of making the industry thrive.

Several heads of states were present at the programme and they engaged in a panel discussion with former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair who was the moderator.
