GRIDCo staff strike Wednesday over GHS1.2bn debt

Staff of the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) have issued a notice to begin a sit-down strike from tomorrow, Wednesday, 11 December 2019 over debts which they say are crippling the company.

The move is aimed at getting officialdom address their concerns.

The angry workers say they will also withdraw emergency services outside their normal working hours.

They will also hoist red flags at all GRIDCo offices and also wear red armed bands as part of their action to drive home their demands.
