Hohoe MCE Cuts Sod for Construction of Hohoe Central Market

The Hohoe Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Mr Andrew Teddy Ofori has cut sod for the construction of an ultra-modern market with ancillary facilities for the people of Hohoe and its environs.

The new market is to have 106 shops, 144 sheds, 16 warehouses, a police post and fire service post, creche and other ancillary facilities.

At a brief ceremony to officially announce commencement of work, Hon. Ofori charged contractors of the project; John Mork Construction, Crown Of Victory Construction And J. A Binley Company Limited to use good building materials during construction, while keeping to the 9 months completion schedule.

 

John Mork will handle Phase 1 of the project, which involves the building of 62 shops; Crown of Victory will take Phase 2, building 44 shops and J A Binley takes Phase 3, which involves the construction of a police post, fire service post, warehouse and creche.

Hon. Teddy Ofori said the project will be funded by the World Bank at the cost of 8 million Ghana cedis.
