Hohoe Municipal Chief Executive calls on public relations and complaints committee to investigate allegations leveled against him by Assembly Member

The Hohoe Municipal Chief Executive, Andrews teddy ofori has called on the Public Relations and Complaints Committee of the assembly to investigate allegations leveled against him by Assembly Member for Gbledi Electoral Area, Stephen Ahlidzi, in accordance with the Local Government Act, ACT 936 of 2016.

Addressing the press this morning, Andrews Teddy Ofori said the allegations are untrue and are attempts by the Assembly Member to malign his character, tarnish his reputation and the image of the municipal assembly.

 

He said his administration has been focused and will continue to implement the policies of the government to better the lives of residents.

Mr Teddy Ofori, said tender has been opened for the award of contract for the construction of a modern abattoir at Hohoe Zongo for the processing, storage and transportation of meat in a hygienic manner.

He said the assembly is constructing   over 200 unit lockable stores and a number of open sheds under the Ghana Secondary City Programme to transform the face of the Hohoe Main Market.

He said the construction of a modern a modern warehouse at Gbi- Godenu Industrial Area is ongoing to store the produce of the Planting for Food and Jobs Programmes.

 

That was the Hohoe Municipal Chief Executive, Andrews Teddy Ofori.

Mr. Stephen Ahlidzi, addressing the press last month called on President Akuffo Addo to remove the MCE from office on the grounds of incompetence.

He accused the MCE of taking unilateral decisions on key developmental issues without consulting the assembly members. 

He also accused him of converting a pickup truck with registration number, GN- 8896-18, meant for official use by the assembly into a farm truck.

Mr. Stephen Ahlidzi, said actions of the MCE and his cohorts have created division among the staff of the assembly.
