Hohoe NDC Parliamentary Candidate temporarily suspends campaign to help fight coronavirus

The Parliamentary Candidate of the National Democratic Congress for the Hohoe Constituency, Professor Margaret Kweku, has temporarily suspended her political campaign as part of moves to aid the nation in the fight against the spread of  coronavirus.

In a statement signed by her and copied to Lorlornyo News, Prof. Kweku said the decision falls in line with calls by former President John Dramani Mahama on appointees he worked with when he was president to make their expertise available to the nation in the fight against the virus.

The Professor of Health is collaborating with local radio stations in the Hohoe municipality to educate the general public on measures to follow to avoid getting infected.

She said there are plans to engage the hospitality industry in the municipality and visit to local communities in the area for education on the virus.

She applauded the Member of Parliament for the area, Dr. Berinice Adiku-Heloo for her efforts geared towards the safety of residents of the municipality.
