Hope Temple of Hohoe ICGC donates to Volta School for the Deaf

The Hope Temple of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), Hohoe at the weekend donated assorted items estimated at GHS 3,000.00 to the Volta School for the Deaf.

The church also presented an undisclosed amount of money as part of the donation, which included bags of rice, toiletries, cooking oil, tin tomatoes and clothing to launch the commemoration of its 25th anniversary celebrations.

Led by the Resident Pastor, Rev. Benjamin Acquaye, members of the church in a health walk processed to the school to make the donation.

At a gathering to present the items on behalf of the Church, Rev. Acquaye prayed for God’s blessings and guidance for the students, who are often left vulnerable due to their disability.

He told Lorlornyo News that the donation formed part of the church’s social intervention drive to society.

“This donation is in commemoration of our 25th anniversary, and we have a line of activities that will be taking place.

And this is the launch of the activities. Today, we added the live walk and donation to the School for the Deaf. It is a social intervention adding to our anniversary,” he said.

Receiving the items on behalf of the school, the Headmaster of Volta School for the Deaf, Dr. Michael Cudjoe expressed appreciation for the kind gesture.

He also called on other benevolent organisations to follow in the footsteps of Hohoe ICGC, Hope Temple to put smiles on the faces of the deprived students.
