Jewel Ackah to use Zylofon’s $10,000 for medical care after NDC snub

Veteran highlife musician, Jewel Ackah seems to have finally gotten a shoulder to lean on after an apparent neglect by the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Videos circulating on social media indicate that the singer received $10,000 from Nana Appiah Mensah, C.E.O of Zylonfon Media, after the latter heard of the former’s deteriorating health.

Jewel Ackah composed the National Democratic Congress’ flagship campaign song ‘Arise Arise’.

However, it appears that the composer, who is said to be battling stroke for years now, did not receive any significant help from the party that ruled the country between 2008 – 2016

Amidst tears, the highlife musician thanked C.E.O of Zylofon Media for his generosity.

He promised to use the money given him to cater for his medical expenses to enable him get back on his feet.

Jewel Ackah has over 27 music albums to his credit including hit songs such as Mesan Mako Menkyi, Manye Yie, and Kyere Mase.
