Leo-Nelson Adzidogah is Akatsi South DCE nominee

President Akufo-Addo has settled on Leo-Nelson Adzidogah as the next District Chief Executive for Akatsi South in the Volta region.

Mr. Adzidogah, a native of Avenorpedo in the Akatsi South district of the Volta Region is a procurement and project management expert.

He also holds a degree in sociology from the University of Ghana.

He contested on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) during the 2012 and 2016 parliamentary elections for Akatsi South, but lost the slot to National Democratic Congress’ Bernard Ahiafor.

Mr. Adzidogah’s nomination is, however, subject to the approval of members of the Akatsi South District Assembly, in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government Act.

President Akufo-Addo upon assumption of office on January 7, this year, withdrew the appointments of all MMDCEs, including the then Akatsi South DCE, Mr Sammy Wuadi, who served under the erstwhile Mahama-led NDC government.

In an earlier interview with Kaleawo FM before the announcement by the Minister for Local Government, Hajia Alima Mahama in Accra on Wednesday, the 47yr old politician called for unity among NPP supporters in his constituency.
