The killing of Major Maxwell Mahama continues to generate lots of anger and disappointment not only from Ghanaians but elsewhere in other parts of the world.
So far, Ghana’s security forces has put in place tight measures to arrest all culprits of the heinous crime as the president of the republic fumed that no one directly or indirectly linked to his killing will be dealt with by the law.
Just as any bad and terrible news would sell on the international media, Maxwell Mahama’s demise was clearly featured on the BBC and other international news outlets which examined the culture of jungle justice in Ghana and across Africa.
A Colombian artist, Dc Dementor who, though distant from the country, is soaking in the news of Mahama’s death with disbelief and utter shock. Just like many of Ghana’s music artists, the Colombian artist warned Ghana against mob killings and also commiserated with the family of the late Mahama.
“Let us learn to love one another, this is Ghana, our homeland, ” excerpts of his video urged. Meanwhile, dancehall superstar, Shatta Wale, has vowed never to step foot in the town of Denkyira Obuasi.
The musician, whose real name is Charles Nii Armah, made the revelations on Entertainment Review, a popular showbiz analysis programme aired on Peace FM.
