Nifahemaa of Santrokofi Traditional Area pledges to empower women within her community

The Nifahemaa of Santrokofi Traditional Area, Nana Ankobia Atipiko III, has pledged to economically empower women within her community during her reign.

This, she believes will enable them support their families and contribute their quota towards the development of the area.

Speaking during her coronation at Santrokofi Benua, she said her focus will also be on the education of the girl child and empowerment of the underprivileged.

Expressing her commitment to the development of the area, she called on the chiefs and people of Santrokofi Traditional Area to support her in order to make her reign a success.

The Paramount Chief of Santrokofi Traditional Area, Nana Letsabi II, admonished the Nifahemaa to protect the existing unity among women in the area, and called on citizens to support the queen achieve her goals.

He expressed worry over increasing promiscuity among the youth in the area, and called on parents to bring-up their children properly.

The event which took place amidst drumming, singing, dancing and firing of musketry drew participants from all walks of life. 

Nana Ankobia Atipiko III, known in real life as Mrs. Susan Afua Gyamfi is a 44 year old health worker based in the United States of America and married with three children.
