NSCDC rescues 19-year-old Boko Haram commander’s wife

The wife of a Boko Haram commander, Mumina Hamidu has been rescued by men of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Adamawa.

The Commandant of NSCDC, Mr. Aliyu Ndanusa, said his men rescued the woman with her 9 months son after they escaped from the dreaded Sambisa Forest.

Mumina Hamidu was abducted by the terrorists in Anguwan Barkono in ancient Mubi town in Adamawa State.

Her abductors took her to Sambisa where she was forced to marry one of the sect commanders, Bana Kura.

According to him, she succeeded in escaping from Sambisa to Cameroon and was picked up by NSCDC while returning to Mubi.

He said Mumina and her baby would be handed over to relevant authorities for proper rehabilitation.
