“In the Asian experience, the existence of a relatively extensive rail network to carry fertilizer and other inputs to the farm and carry farm outputs to the markets has set them apart from us in Ghana.”

“Ghana, government will also expand the feeder road and farm track networks to mitigate post-harvest losses and also ensure foodstuffs are available to government,” the president said.

“…agriculture remains the fuel that powers all our activity in Ghana, we ignore it at our risk. My government will certainly not ignore it. I give you my pledge, the farmers, food crop farmers, fish farmers and livestock farmers will have the support they deserve from my government,” he added.
