People of Ziavi realise 8,000 Ghana cedis at Easter harvest in aid of school projects

The people of Ziavi in the Ho Municipal yesterday realised 8,000 Ghana cedis as part of the Easter celebration in aid of school projects in the community.

The money was realised through voluntary contributions and sale of food items.

The Paramount Chief of the area, Torgbe Kwaku Ayim called on the people to support the newly built senior high school to attain the level of government absorption.

He also called on government and non-governmental organisations to provide them with the necessary facilities to enhance teaching and learning.

The Chief of Ziavi-Lume, Torgbe Adza Kodzo also advised the youth to desist from acquiring wealth through dubious means.

He cautioned them to avoid being victims of rape, suicide and other social vices that the country has been experiencing in recent times.

Torgbe Adza Kodzo said one of the challenges facing the community was the construction of the road from Ziavi to Anfoeta, which has been abandoned by the contractor rendering the road impassable during the rainy season.

He, therefore, appealed to government to ensure that the contractor completes work on the road on schedule.

The Site Engineer of the road, David Kwakye disclosed to Lorlornyo News that the construction of the road has delayed due to the lack of machinery, and also blamed it on the death of two workers which has affected their finance.
