Photos: Don’t rely on a woman’s looks, you may be deceived – Counsellor admonishes men

Elder Kevin Amos Annan, a Life Coach and Counsellor, has advised men to look beyond the physical attributes of women because lately, some women buy their looks.

According to him, men are easily swayed by what they see but warned against fixation on mere looks.

Elder Kevin Amos Annan gave the advice while speaking at the 2017 Singles Conference at the Peniel Assembly of the Church of the Pentecost – Mataheko District – Monday night under the theme ‘Making the most of male-female interactions with particular focus on singles’.

He explained it was now very common for women to change their looks by buying hairs, body enhancement and others accoutrements to attract men.

“Now, goods, whether back axle or front axle,” they can be purchased so if one is interested in enhanced body features, they may be disappointed when they see the real woman without those enhancements, he stated.

He urged men to target women who possess natural qualities and looks.

On the issue of attraction, Elder Annan noted that it is natural for males and females to desire each other. At adolescence, a man can develop feelings for a woman and vice versa.

He, however, warned that attractions should be checked so it does not lead to immoral acts.

The counsellor said, “if you are single today, you should be doing what singles do today,” and the same rule applies to married men and women.

With divorce on the rise, he called on the youth not to rush into relationships and marriage.

He was of the view that; the youth should take their time when it comes to the issue of marriage and should never fall to societal pressures.

“Relationships are great but never an emergency,” he said. For him, the right woman or man will surely come at the opportune time.

“We are made with the capacity to make clear choices. When it comes to relationship that may lead to marriage, we have choices to make,” and “If we are made to make clear choices, it means each one of us is responsible for our choices.”

“Take your time,” he admonished, and warned people should not immerse themselves in the notion that we live in a modern world and do things without due care for the consequences.

The two-day Singles Conference, amongst other things, heightlights key challenges the youth face in matters of relationships and dating in modern times.
