Police CID summons Mugabe over Manasseh’s murder plot

Late afternoon political talk show host of Accra-based Radio XYZ, Salifu Maase popularly called Mugabe has been summoned to appear before the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service tomorrow, March 12, 2019 over claims there are attempts to murder Joy Fm’s investigative Journalist, Manasseh Azuri Awuni.

The Broadcast Journalist had claimed there were plans within the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) to have the journalist killed in eleven months stating he was not a coward to run away from making public such plans.

Salifu Maase, aka Mugabe, said the NPP would kill him just like Ahmed Suale, the private investigator of ace journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, who was gruesomely killed recently by some assailants.

Mugabe claimed he had been possessed by the ‘Holy Spirit.’

“The fake ones (prophets) can come out and say whatever they like but I’m speaking in the spiritual realm. Manasseh Awuni, I am speaking to your parents and I’m not speaking as Mugabe but the Holy Spirit is using me,” he claimed.

A letter signed by the Director General of the Police CID, DCOP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo Danquuah (Mrs) sighted inviting the journalist reads in part “The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service presents its compliments to the management of XYZ media.
