<strong>Qatar Charity builds 10-unit health facility for Kpando Aziave</strong>

Non- Governmental organization, Qatar Charity has constructed a 10-unit health facility to serve the health needs of the people within the Kpando Aziave enclave.

The project which was facilitated by Atlantic Development Solutions, a nonprofit development-oriented organization comes with male and female wards, an outpatient department, laboratory, vaccination, delivery, and quarantine rooms.

The facility also has two washrooms and a pharmacy.

Constructed at the cost of GHC250,000.00, the facility was situated at Kpando Aziave following the result of a needs assessment conducted by Qatar Charity, Atlantic Development Solutions and the Kpando Municipal Health Directorate.

Speaking during a ceremony held on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, to handover the facility to the Chiefs and People of the Aziave community, the Chief Executive Officer of Atlantic Development Solutions, Mr. Sebastian Deh, indicated plans are advanced for the commencement of the second phase of the project which involves resourcing the facility with medical equipment worth GHC100,000.00.

He was grateful to the Chiefs and People of Kpando, Qatar Charity, the Kpando Municipal Health Directorate and everyone who contributed towards the successful execution of the project.

As a development worker, Mr. Sebastian Deh, has facilitated a number of key developmental projects within the Kpando Municipality. Notable among them is the provision of solar paneled mechanized boreholes for Kpando Gabi, Dzigbe, Tsakpe Dzoanti and Avetikofe.

The Kpando Municipal Director of Health, Dr. Samuel Abudei, said his outfit will ensure dedicated health workers are assigned to the facility as soon as it becomes operational.

He said a health committee made up of representatives from the Municipal Health Directorate and the Aziave community will be formed for the efficient management of the facility.

A representative of Qatar Charity, Engineer Ismail Laari, admonished management of the facility and the community to ensure it is well maintained so as to provoke his outfit to provide more projects for the area.

He promised Kpando Aziave will be the first to benefit from his organization’s water project as soon as opportunities are available.

The Kpando Municipal Chief Executive, Geoffrey Badasu, who was full of praise for Mr. Sebastian Deh, said issues relating to the development of Kpando must never be politicized.

He indicated citizens of Kpando, like Mr. Sebastian Deh, must be applauded and encouraged to lobby for more developmental projects for the forward march of Kpando.

He revealed plans are far advanced for the construction of an audit block complex and a three-story administration block for the Kpando Municipal Assembly.

In a speech read on his behalf, the Paramount Chief of Kpando, Okpekpewuokpe, Torgbega Dagadu IV, described Mr. Sebastian Deh, as an illustrious son of Kpando with a call on citizens to emulate his example and push for the development of the area.

The speech read by Torgbui, Asumadu XIII, Senior Divisional Chief of the Atsiafume Division of Kpando, encouraged the would be management of the facility to ensure it is well maintained with a call on the staff to practice good customer relationship and push towards the promotion of good health of residents of the community.

He explained the facility will positively impact the lives of members of the community and expressed his preparedness to work with Qatar Charity for the development of Kpando.
