Tobinco Pharmaceuticals donates 2 incubators to Akatsi St. Paul`s Hospital

Tobinco Pharmaceuticals Company and its subsidiary Samuel Amoh Tobbin Foundation have donated two incubators at the cost of GHS 17,000.00 to St. Paul`s Hospital at Akatsi.

General Manager of Tobinco Pharmaceuticals responsible for Marketing and Communication, Ben Kpabi Tetteh, during a brief presentation ceremony on Wednesday said the donation was part of the company`s corporate social responsibility  and the philosophy of its Chairman, Samuel Amoh Tobbin.

According to him, the Samuel Amoh Tobbin Foundation could not understand why babies should be dying because of the lack of equipment at the facility, hence their resolve to salvage the situation.

Senior Midwifery Officer in-charge of the Hospital, Emma Dusor, said anytime there was a premature birth or a case that called for the use of incubators, the hospital became helpless, and had to depend on Akatsi District Hospital for assistance.

According to her, on most occasions they were turned away due to the pressure on their incubators.

The proprietor of St. Paul`s Hospital, Dr. Paul Dagbui, who received the incubators on behalf of the hospital, expressed gratitude to Tobinco Pharmaceuticals Company and Samuel Amoh Tobbin Foundation for their kind gesture, and promised to put the incubators to good use.

The donation came at the back of similar donation to Princess Maria Louise Children`s Hospital in Accra on Tuesday, 25th April, 2017 to mark World Malaria Day, where medical supplies worth GH 10,000.00 were donated.
