UK TV star shamed for failing to strip down for photo shoot

A UK TV Presenter Ruth Langsford has come under criticism after she was absent from a photo shoot that required women to strip down in celebration of their body flaws.

PHOTO: Ruth has appeared as an anchor on the ITV show for over 300 episodes

Known as the Loose Women’s Body Battle campaign, the shoot was to help aging women feel positive about the declining curves and sagging body parts.

The shoot included panelists of the TV show Coleen Nolan, Stacey Soloman and Janet Street-Porter.

But the TV presenter of ‘Loose Women’ whose show has been spearheading this positivity campaign was not part of the swimwear photo shoot.

The married 57-year old said through her spokesperson, “Ruth was unable to take part in the shoot however she thinks it’s a wonderful campaign and fully supports it.”

Followers and TV show’s audience took to social media to react to her absence.

“Why on earth was Ruth not in the picture, when she’s a major part of the show!!!!!” one tweet read.
