Insurance firm, Vanguard Assurance on May Day organised a health screening as part of its celebration of the day at Anyiehe JHS at Afife in the Ketu North District.
Vanguard Assurance frequently organises health screening across the country as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility to the people within the catchment area and across the country at large.
According to the Aflao branch manager, Theophilus Etse Ameme, Vanguard Assurance has been blessed so much by God that they usually give back their blessings to the society.
He explained that the exercise started from Aflao through to Blekusu and now Afife.
Mr Ameme said in collaboration with the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU), one of their major partners, and the Ghana Health Service (GHS), they are able to determine the needs of communities and organise such health screening in those communities with the GHS helping to dispatch medical officers from Accra to facilitate the screening.
He said after such health screening, people are treated for their illnesses, while medicines are supplied for free.
Mr Ameme disclosed that after the May Day screening at Afife, malaria was the most received cases followed by diabetes.
He called on all and sundry, especially those who have assets like vehicles and houses to do business with Vanguard Assurance because they have tailored their policies to meet your needs.
